My name is Callum, I\u2019m a 30 something year old poet from England.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I have written poetry since I was a young boy and as I grew up and experienced life, it became my way of coping with both the best and worst life has thrown my way (Mainly worst).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Living with numerous Mental Illness\u2019, Including severe depression, Self hatred, PTSD and also includes ADHD, it can be tricky on the best of days and damn near impossible on the worst…. Yet I wake up everyday and try to live my life to the fullest I can.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I am to the truest of forms, a lone wolf and I have always felt completely alone and isolated in life, even when surrounded by people who care, to the point that I struggle to even understand why people like me or to even love me. This doesn\u2019t mean however, that I am lonely, In fact far from it, I actually consider myself free\u2026\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Drink, Drugs, Anger, Violence, Peace & Love, Denial, Acceptance, Self-Harm, Self-hate, Self-love, are ALL ways that I have tried to help myself, but the only thing I found that truly worked for me was writing, especially poetry and helping others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My poetry is like my diary\/journal. It releases the pain and torment that is the struggle of life. But when you read my poetry you are hearing the words of my soul. All the good and all the bad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I always say that with my poetry\u2026.. I swap a razor for a pen and it\u2019s the only reason I am still here today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For many years I have just lived and survived, however through my poetry and my dream of a forth emergency service for mental health, I am now achieving and thriving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I have never been to therapy, instead I learned how to be my own guidance, my own therapist and to create my own peace. I found my own light, when life showed me nothing but darkness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I hope my poetry helps you as much as it helped me writing it and if not you at least enjoy it.
